Sporty Leopard

Shirt: Zara. Pants: Topshop (similar). Shoes: H&M.

Season after season, leopard remains a fashion mainstay. This top from Zara is a modern take on the popular print. I paired it with leather pants and sneakers to push this look toward the sporty side. The silver accessories (including the Pashli, an "it" bag as of late) add a fun pop of metallic!

I will be the first one to admit I resisted the allure of the “Birkenstock” sandal for many years.  In fact, I have even been known to make fun of them altogether. Over the past few months, I couldn’t help but notice these sandals were everywhere. Gracing the pages of fashion mags, pinned on every cool girl’s Pinterest board, and even on the runways. Earlier this summer, I caved and bought a pair (call it peer pressure) and let me tell you, I haven’t looked back. With their versatility and comfort, it is no wonder why this shoe has remained popular over the years. Dress them down with a pair of boyfriend jeans or up with a fun dress (as shown here) and you have yourself a winning look!

Trending: The Kimono

Kimono: Free People (similar). Shorts: Free People. Shirt: Forever21.
Boots: Zara (similar). Bracelet: Free People.

This season brought about a few trends, one of which being the kimono. While this traditional Japanese garment has been around forever, I noticed that it was ever present on the grounds of Coachella and festivals alike. This ombré version from Free People has great movement and is extremely versatile. I paired it with a streamlined black ensemble. The kimono is the perfect pop to just about any outfit.

Hats Off

Dress: Maeve. Hat: Asos. Boots: Sam Edelman. Necklace: J.Crew
Stud Bracelet: Stella & Dot. Turquoise Bracelet: J.Crew. Ring: Pandora.

This easy, breezy graphic drop-waist dress is perfect for the summer heat. Not only comfortable, the drop-waist is extremely flattering on most body types despite what many believe. The black, floppy fedora gives the otherwise prim dress a bit of an edge. Topped off with turquoise and rose gold bracelets, this look is definitely a winner.
